We lost power at our home in Clark,NJ and got it back late last night after tapping into our good neighbors generator for 2 1/2 days. We lucked out , a oak tree got topped off and covered most of the front lawn and missed the power lines. Now our shore house at Lavallette,NJ is a different story . We can't get to it because Rt. 35 is close both north and south bound due to road ca lapse and flooding. Just hoping for the best.
cheers

BMW of North Haven. Was really surprised it got there in only 2 days. But I finally just picked it up yesterday with the dealership having lost power too. But the car is fabulous... except the darn Auto Start/Stop which has to GO!

Crossing my fingers for the beach house.

Zooming in on google earth it looks like the VPC does have a multi-floored structure but next to the main building is a giant parking lot full of cars so if they didn't utilize the garage some cars may be screwed. There was advance notice so hopefully things were done right.

The site that you provided shows the area but I can't zoom in close enough to see what kind of damage there is . Thanks
cheers

I've always thought one of the most visually arresting things about gale-force and higher wind damage--when you look closely--is not the trees but the leaves. They are not merely blown off trees, they are shredded by the sheer force of the wind. Streets, cars, sides of houses all plastered with more leaf fragments than whole leaves. It looks like every salad bar within 100 miles exploded.
