2013 X5 diesel Eco credit drops to $3,000
If you are trying to decide between a 2012 or 2013 X5 diesel purchase, please note that the Eco credit appears to drop from $4,500 to $3,000 for the MY2013 diesels.

True, but correct me if I have this confused, You technically still have 4500 dollars on the table. You get 3000 off purchase price, and 1500 towards your down payment, so 4500 total, just not directly towards purchase price.

True, but only if you finance through BMW FS and only until Jan 2nd. Cash buyers, credit union customers etc get the $3,000 credit only .

I did that with a Ford a few years ago to get the incentive. No issues, just a bit more paperwork and time.

I heard of that, however does that work for a person who wants to refinance thru a credit union the next day?

Ask your credit union loan officer. I doubt it would be the first time someone asked him about it.

Yes ask the credit union loan officer . . . most likely you will not get the *new* car rates . . . *used* car (pre-owned) rates are marginally higher.

I am glad I pulled the trigger on BMW X5. I don't like going through hassle of BMW FS.
