Well so far the work on my 525i has come to a stop, since my brother Achilles tendon is cut from a slip from work. -_- so until he gets better I can't do anything since he is my helping hand. But I can't wait until that long so I will be having a friend come help me out when he gets a chance and i will post if their is any progress. ;D

Hey! Good news!!!!! I found out what was wrong with my car!!! I was talking with a friend that I had been leaning towards that the DME was the issue. He said that he had one that fit that he could lend me to see if it started. Well I put it in and nothing happen but when I put the main relay from ly brother 325i in it STARTED! WHAT A RELLIEF!! IT Smoked a lot since it been sitting a while so I turned it off so now for the tune up and to buy a main relay and a Dme. Thanks to all who helped me!

The problem could have just been the main dme relay all along. Please double check that before buying a dme. Put your car's dme in there with your brother's main relay and see if it starts.

You know what ? Buy the dme anyway. Its good to have a spare, its only around $70 shipped, and you can sell it off years later for the same price or slightly higher. I usually recommend that anyway.

Well, whether its the main dme relay or the dme itself, you've encountered a really rare no-start issue. Less than 10% of all the no-starts that we see here. You've beaten the wrong kind of odds here. My strong recommendation would be to swop out the fuel pump, fuel pump relay and crankshaft position sensor. Those will take care of the other 90%.

If you have a 325 and 525, if they both have the same engine (m50b25), then their parts will also be largely interchangeable, which should include the dme as well.
