Aida is heading into the Port of New York. The Aida's crew, I am sure had an interest night,19 foot seas were reported. I woke up this morning to a blanket of snow. Time to head south.

Aida is docked at the NY/NJ Port. I would think today we should know the status of Aida's cargo that has NY as destination.

Our cars will be puking oil!!

It'll be interesting to see if they off load the cars. WWL still shows mine being delivered to NY.

Just called the 800 number and talked with a rep. THe NJ VPC is open as of yesterday and my vehicle will be offloaded in NJ and go through customs there. Progress!! Snowy yes, but progress.

Looks like my M5 was offloaded at the NYC port, the status now says Discharged & Delivered From

Just checked and me too!

Now I can focus on obsessing about customs, prep and trucking!!

What I have seen on another thread is it looks like customs is moving pretty quickly. Now the VDC... who knows.

Status details :off loaded at 21:00 on Nov. 8 NY/NJ Port. So to it took 28 days to reach the US from drop off at Minich Airport. One day delay due to Sandy.

Just noticed it left the NY port. Now I wonder if it is still going to stop in Baltimore or if it is straight Brunswick.

I would think not. Lost two days due to Sandy. These ships are about on time delivery and they have ground lost they can't to make up so they are not going to add to the problem...Just my thoughts cost you nothing!

I hope you are right. They mysteriously added a day in Baltimore during due to Sandy, and then added another 1 day stop in NY (so 2 days total) very strange. Original delivery date was supposed to be 11/12 so I guess I should be happy it only slipped 1 day. Fingers crossed.

Car was deliveries to the dealership today outside of Boston. So from drop off at 9:30 Oct 12, you can get a good idea on second delivery time frame.

In other words, are you saying that cars that arrived on AIDA to NJ on Nov 8 have reached a Boston dealership?

Would like to know this as well, my car hasn't even been checked in at the VDC/VPC yet

Me too! Called this morning and they said my cars still awaiting customs inspection. She now said 7-10 days!!

My M5 status just changed to "Received at VPC" a few minutes ago according to my CA

Sadly, my car still sits in Jersey. It cleared customs last Wednesday, was supposed to be on a truck Friday, and get to the dealer Sunday. Called the 800 number today and they said they were trying to find out why it wasn't trucked out. I got a call back late this afternoon and was told that trucking said it would be at my dealer by Saturday. Patience is so hard!!!

Same for me, my car is still at the VPC stuck at "Work Order Started"

How can you tell it's work order started? Mine is at VPC in GA.

My CA sent me a screenshot from their system, it clearly says it was received on 11/13 and work order started on 11/14.

I have an update however, I called the BMW European Delivery department this morning and they said my bumper had a scratch in the paint and is getting repaired. They said they will call me back tomorrow with an ETA and that it could take longer because the paint is Frozen Brilliant White.

So close now! It arrived at my dealer late this afternoon. Now I get to wait for the Venture Shield to get done. Between that and my schedule probably looking at a Wednesday delivery. The end is in sight!!

And my euro plates survived the trip!!

I have the same issue. My CA also told me that the delay in redelivery of my car is due to a front bumper work that had to get done. I know that the bumper was in perfect condition when I dropped off the car in Munich (I took lots of photos of the car at the drop-off), so it must have gotten damaged enroute.

I'm not quite sure what to make of the situation -- odd coincidence that our cars got damaged enroute, and in both situations it's the front bumper. What the heck is going on there?!
