Phone Passcode
Just got my 2007 z4 3.01 and love it!!!!!!!! I see that I need a passcode to sync a phone to the car and was told it was on a module. How to I find this module and code? The car did not have a owner's manual so I do not have access to the codes from the manuals.

The four digit PK code is printed on a label on the TCU unit, in the space between the passenger compartment rear wall and the inside wall of the trunk. You can get the code by taking the back of the trunk apart. I think some folks have removed the speaker cover behind the driver seat to get the code.
If you don't want to tear the crap out of your car, and you have a friendly BMW dealer, they can plug into the car and get the code for you. Also, not all Z4s have bluetooth. To find out, press the R/T button on the right steering wheel spoke after the car has been running for a few minutes. If the radio display changes to "searching.....", that indicates that you have bluetooth and the car is looking for a cell phone to pair with. You can also press and hold the speaker button on the left steering wheel spoke until you hear a beep. Say a voice command such as "name". If you have bluetooth, the car will respond with "function not currently available", meaning that the bluetooth module is present but is not paired to your cell phone. Phone Passcode
Thanks for the great info. Seems all the "friendly" bmw dealers near me think it is a one hour minimum labor charge to plug up and find the code. Think I'm trying the speaker access first.

you can see the code by removing the subwoofer cover. It starts with PK and then 4 digits. It's a bit tricky. Do a search. There is a post describing this easy way vs. tearing the whole trunk apart.
