What is causing the clock to have to be reset after starting car? I have recieving a service warning but no addtional information. Batter issue? 2007 525xi sedan milage in the 95k range.

It is probably telling you that you need a new battery. That was my 1st indication in my 2008 528i. First the clock started slowing down. A week later the clock came up all dashes and needed to be reset. I took it to BMW and they tested the battery. It was bad so I had it replaced and registered. No problems since. My old battery was over 4 years old. Time for replacement.
