Display says EXT. 37

on my display when it is 37 deg f. will say outside temp 37 then
when the car is running dthe display come on with the dongs to but it says EXT. Temp 37 the same as the outside one but then they sart to flash then goes away waht is this On my 98 740il

Normal Warning.Just Telling You it Is 37 Degreess Approaching Freezing Road Conditions..The roads Can Be Colder Then The Ambiant Air..........
