Car redelivered + trip photos :)

So stoked to finally have my car back home and wrapping up our memorable ED experience big thank you to Jon from Santa Barbara that made the whole process a breeze. Looking back at our photos from Europe always put a huge smile on my face!! I'm still in the process of actually putting a blog up on our trip but here are some of my favorite places/moments...

Forget about the car!!! The only thing I can say is WOW!! Kick Ass Shots!! I am a professional photographer and I can say that these are the best shot I have seen in this forum. Congratulations on your new car. I just got back from my own ED picking up on Oct 20th. I've stayed in Lauterbrunnen for three nights and I visited Murren, Wengen, Grindelwald and took the trip to the top of Europe. Then to Vevey, Annecy, Lenno and Cernobbio in Lake Como ( have been to Varena and Bellagio in previous trip), Luzern and back to Munich with a stopover in London.

I think I have to upload some of my shots for you to see.

Well done and enjoy the wait for redelivery. At least you can spend time processing your shots until your car arrives.

Those shots definitely bring back memories of our own trip and provide so much more insight into possible stops for our next one. Care to share what equipment you used and how you got those cool panos?

I'm still learning the ins and outs of photography, so its great to hear from pros and can't wait to see your pics! especially we were in a lot of the same location! actually I JUST picked up my car on the states side yesterday in Santa Barbara, so happy to have a car finally and loving it ^^

I mainly used 7D with 50mm f1.4 or the 17-55mm f2.8. most panos were shot with 10-20 images and processed thru autopano (kickass program btw!). a couple shots were done with my phone tho.. hah. it was too much work to pull out the 7D sometimes :P

I really meant it!! I am a Canon shooter and I use to have the 7D, now I use the 5D Mark III. I mainly use the 16-35mm Mark II and the 70-200 Mark II. I used to love the 10-20mm. Great choice of lenses.

Thanks for the pics. They are amazing. By the way, were you on the Triton Leader that arrived Port Hueneme on 11/6? I was on that vessel and still waiting for re-delivery

Wow, we visited some of the same shots with my lowly T2i and I thought mine turned out halfway decent. You have amazing photos and an amazing car, congrats!!

my car was on Fidelio. think it arrived at Port Hueneme on 10/24? but it took a bit longer than we thought to get to the dealer in SB... hang in there tho sounds like your car will almost be here!

Gorgeous pics! The weather was much nicer to you in Switzerland than on our trip there, but the setting (we stayed in Lauterbrunnen as well) is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! Stunning photos! It looks like much of your trip was in the same places that we visited, Salzburg, Fussen, Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Jungfraujoch. I'm so jealous of the spectacular weather that you had in Switzerland. On our trip to the Jungfraujoch it was rainy and drizzly most of the trip and the top was completely socked in with fog, but we enjoyed it none the less. Did you stay at the Alpina Hotel?

I agree - the best pics I've ever seen of an ED. It's just not a new camera that gets those pics - right? But a lot of patience and practise.

Can you tell me if the program just stitches together in a left-right pattern, or can you do say 5 shots left to right, but aimed higher, and 5 shots left to right aimed lower, and stitch everything together?

I saw a picture the other day where a pro put something like 400 pictures together to make a 700 megapixel shot, then had it made into a 11'x8' print.

yeh we got lucky in Switzerland, gorgeous weather, made up for a little bit of rain in germany the couple days before. We stayed in Hotel Bellevue..similar location to Alpina. I liked it a lot

KingpenM3 : Autopano is super smart that it can stitch pretty much any pattern, i normally do 3x6 or so ..that way you capture a lot more skies and foreground. give the trial a try.. pretty impressive stuff!

thanks seriously i could have stay in Murren or anywhere in the swiss alps for a month and hike all the trails... some day ..some day!
