When you see other e39's and start to Criticise it as to what can be done to to improve the way it looks.

When you feel bad when you see a neglected e39.

After pulling into the garage look around and under to see if anything is leaking.

Turn off the PDC because I know how much damm space I have behind me.

Always read the forums while eating a bowl of cheerios.

Man, everyone is on point. When you can't stop thinking, what to upgrade, and what's going to fail next.

When you know you found the happy medium between 3-7, you have cup holders and don't bother using them, wonder wtf BMW meant by "premium sound" and get frustrated with your open diff.

When your headlights are aimed with the precision of a German engineer ... with the help of a handful of (likely "Made in China") zip ties.

When someone asks why you don't have real cupholders, or working cupholders for that matter, you get mad and say "Germans use their cars for driving, not eating breakfast!" although you secretly wish you had somewhere to put your morning Starbucks.

When the little bit of time spent driving it is worth more than the hours spent fixing it. To me anyways.

When you never touch the seats once set
When people in your town buy a BMW because there cheap but soon find out that keeping them on the road is FUN on your wallet.
Got to love the faded bumpers but only on the top
The wolf in sheep cloths when a new Charger,Mustang or Camero pulls up next to you and you blow the doors off of him LOL

When Traveling without major incident means: smelling coolant each time you put gas in the car, topping it up once, checking the oil and power steering fluid and hearing some ticking that is probably nothing...
This is hilarious and totally TRUE

I would also add:

When you get asked, 'how come you drive such an old car?' and you reply, 'Because it's built better and easier to maintain that any other BMW that's come after it'.

Also forgot to add that when you smell antifreeze while your driving your first thought is Oh $hit, not again and then you realize it's from the car in front of you.
