Z3 Roadster (E36/7) You're under 45 and own a Z3?

Guess I am the new guy. Just picked mine up 2 days ago and I love it. 1999 Z3 M Roadster. Oh almost forgot 42 years old, everyone is saying this is my mid-life crisis car. I say whatever, looks like a rolling piece of art. Looking forward to talking to you guys! Eric

hey ive been on here a few times but only just registered.....but i got my zed a few months ago.....im 19

I bought mine in 2003. I was 25 back then. 34 now.

18, Dad got her back in 01, now he's in a MX-5 and I'm in the zed

Bought the Z when I was 30 back in 11/99. Still loving her today at age 42

Still loving it a month later, but the drivers seat has play in it when I brake hard, any ideas? Links? Etc.... Thanks Eric

I've been waiting for top seal leaks to be fixed before I remove the seats and fix the sliding problem in my 2001 2.5i. Also going to replace the seatbelt guides. Would love to replace the long panel just below the windshield. It's got several cracks. There is so much brittle plastic around the Z3!!

The Z3s have been my wife's cars. Z3 #1 was a '97 1.9 that we bought in 1999 when she was 35.



Z3 #2 was a '97 2.8 that we bought in 2008 when she was 44.

Just turned 78. Will have the Z3 a week tomorrow. This is my 4th BMW over the years. I now have to sell my '84 MB 380SL. Love topless. Started with a Corvair Monza, TR6, Alfa Spyder, Lebaron and the 380SL. At least living in Florida I get more topless days than average.

Wife gave me a Z3 for my 70th birthday a few weeks ago. Only 32,000 miles due to geriatric ownership -- the previous owner sold it when he was 90.

I'm in the 45+ group at 45. Purchased it when I was 42.

Bought my 1998 MZ3 when I was 44...and still have it at 58.

So I'm 68 anmd just bought my 2001 Z3 M Coupe with the S54 motor.......... probably my last nasty-fast-silly-buggers car...... ..... love it..... ..... You drive.... and then you die. Evansqui.... Port Hope, Canada.

I got a 2000 z3 for my 60th birthday and I love driving it on these Kentucky back roads. I had a Triumph Spitfire in the 70's and enjoyed it in Florida.

I'm 26 and I got my Z3 in 2007 while I was in college.

Bought at 16 with cash as first car. Turning 20 right after Christmas.

Got my Z3 passed down to me from my father when i turned 17. Best gift ever.

Bought my '98 Z3 2.8 on my 25th B-day
