Direzza are good tires but they are more expensive than the average summer tire because they are sportier, if you want to put some sportier good looking tires Direzza's are a good option but if you want to save a couple bucks you can go with regular summer tires since you won't be using the full potential of the performance tires anyway.

I'm a huge fan of Direzzas! I had them on my 2001 540i6 and were the only type I ever purchased after I replaced the Sumitomos the previous owner had. In total I went through 4 sets in 65,000 miles. I would get approx 15-17k out of each set, but would have been more if I could have rotated. I had staggered wheels, plus they are directional. On a 528 this wouldn't be an issue.
Currently on my 550 I have Bridgestones, because that's what I purchased it with. I've been waiting patiently for them to wear out so I can go back to Direzzas. For 19'' wheels they are actually one of the lesser expensive types, so I'm not sure that you would find anything of quality for less $. Luckily I live in SoCal so it's not an issue that they are a summer tire. Firm sidewall, yet they have amazing grip. They are also W rated to 168 MPH, and have a fat rim protector. Best bang for the buck! Mike
