planning on purchasing a 2009 750i

I am planning to purchase a 2009 750i with 10 months left on the manufacturers warranty. I would like to know if there are any common issues with the 2009 model year that I need to watch for and get fixed. Also, is buying the extended warranty worth while? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I can't speak about any issues but extended warranty is a must for a car like a 7 series and if you want to keep the car for a while.

Are you purchasing it from a BMW dealership? If so, they may be able to certify it to 6 yr/100k. If not, look into an exclusionary aftermarket warranty that can be purchased from a dealership, just shop around for the best price/coverage.

i have an extened warranty to 150,000 miles with continental, they cover the nav system, bmw does not. it cost me $3400 about the same as the BMW warranty to 100k, it also has no deductible, i think BMW has a deductible.

i was worried about the 100k mark, that seems to be a point that a lot of BMW's need a refresh on a bunch of parts. Radiator, water pumps. and i am always concerned about those turbos.

Yup, up here in Canada it's a $200 deductible when you buy a extended warranty via BMW.

Well, a couple of weeks ago i purchased a 2009 750i, imperial blue over oyster interior. so far I love it. I will be posting pictures soon.

Did you get the warranty? Trust me, you need it.

I have the original warranty until Aug 29 2013 and will purchase an additional 3 years before that runs out.

Buy it earlier, usually 3 months before the factory one runs out. If you wait too late, the rate might be higher. I sell warranty too, and the quote is always higher closer to the end of factory warranty.
