Window Lock Button

Hi, I just noticed that when I press the button that locks all the windows besides the driver's doesn't do anything when enabled. Is anybody else experiencing this issue? Warranty issue? thanks

It only locks the back windows from my understanding.

How do you test them?

i just enable it then I go to all the windows and they still go up and down

Okay, I was hoping that you were simply trying them from the drivers seat (I know its dumb but we have all had those moments and I was hoping you were having one for this). Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in store.

Just to clarify - the button doesn't lock the windows... it locks the control of the window from the back seat (at least on my car). I can still roll down the window from the driver's seat, but my daughter can't roll her window down with the button in the back seat.

yeah i know, the windows still roll down from all the dedicated door switches

Slightly off-topic, but we've owned 3 TL's and a TSX. Honda implements the lockout switch in a ridiculous manner. When you enable the lock function, it even disables all the switches from the driver console -- stupid! The driver is always supposed to be able to control all windows. The idea of the lockout switch is to prevent passengers from "playing" with the windows.

OP -- are you sure you are testing correctly? Is the ignition on, LED lit in the lockout switch, doors closed, you're sitting at a passenger position and attempt to open or close your window? I have a hard time believing the switch is not operating correctly. Maybe it only works when the driver is present in the driver's seat -- who knows? Try it with another person sitting in a passenger position. With all the safety overrides in our cars, maybe if the driver isn't there, the system allows passengers to open their windows even in a lockout situation for a safety reason (they HAVE TO get out???)
