should you upgraded the air filter?????

morning,
I have a 2004 530i and i was wondering what’s the better air filter to replace the factory one with K&N or AFE??? and recommendation?? Has anyone notice any mpg improvement once doing this?

Don't waste your money, any improvement form these "upgrades" is a pure marketing BS.

Bmw makes high performance parts for their cars. I would bet that a bmw filter is better than a k&n. dont waste ur money

I think thoses type of air cleaners are for Buggies and Bikes and have no place under the hood of a BMW. Just the oil additives alone trash the intake MAF sensors with oil and dirt . If it was a good idea BMW would of already done it.
