7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

2004 745i steering wanders

Hello folks,

I have a 2004 745i with 104000k miles on it. The car has recently started to wander on it's own. It is more noticeable on an uneven road and less noticeable on a smooth highway.

All 4 tires are about 8 months old and are in good shape. Has anyone experienced the same with their car? If so, by any chance do you know what may be the cause of it.

Thank you.

Alignment or tire balance? check tire pressure as well.

Hi, I have not done an alignment, but the tires were balanced 6-8 months ago. Will look into alignment to see if that will fix it. Thank you.

In addition to the alignment, I'd have them re-balance the wheels as well.
