Igntion Coils and oil on Spark Plugs
I just had all the Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils replaced, and my mechanics saved me the old parts.
For the Spark Plugs, they all have wet/motor oil on it, I wonder why, are they supposed to be dry. For the Ignition Coils, the old ones still looks Mint Conditions, they just have some brown stain on the boot, that's all, no crack nor damage. I realized there is a number which look like the date 02-11-14. If I put it for sale on the Craigslist, I wonder how much I could sell it for? P. Last edited by Petlover; 11-15-2012 at 06:39 PM. |

Maybe 20% of what you paid for the new ones.
Shame on your mechanic for not recommending to change the valve cover gasket. That's why the oil is in there.

Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils
Regarding the coil, what years they are using the same coil ( 01 to 03 )?
are they fit all 5 series such as 528i, 530I and 540i? P. |
