We received the Serius notice last week and as of today my car is still at VDC without a firm delivery date.

I was told be a friend that works at the MINI dealership that my car had been released to the trucking company, scheduled to arrive at the dealership on Thursday. It's Friday, not a peep from the CA or Sales Manager. I have a feeling that they are all at the local auto show at the convention center. I am about 2 to 3 hours away from going to the dealership and just picking up my car on my own (Ive got a key). The lack of communication is really becoming a point of frustration.

Does anyone know the next title up the chain of command above the sales managers and finance managers?

I believe there is usually a general manager (Oversees sales, service, finance, Parts)- but I am not sure.

My replacement CA finally returned the call. He said that the car was released to the trucking company on the 14th but it has not arrived at the dealership yet. It's a 5 hour drive, not sure what the delay would be, let's just hope it shows up today.

We are probably on the same truck. BMW of Sudbury told me they hope the car arrives over the weekend and they can deliver on Monday or Tuesday.

And the fun continues...

BMW ED sent a vague email that my car was released to the trucking company (which I already knew) stating that it should arrive at the dealership by Wednesday or Friday. Then, my contact at the MINI dealership called me to see if I had heard anything. I told him I was still waiting for the truck to arrive, but did not know the status. He put me on hold, made a phone call to the trucking company that confirmed they had the car, it had not been put on a truck yet, but was scheduled to leave on Saturday for delivery to the dealership on Monday.

Im amazed that a sales rep from the MINI dealership can so easily do what my BMW dealership is not willing to do. One 5 minute phone call to provide me the information that will keep me from having to check in with them every day.

I cannot express enough the importance of having a good CA that understands and appreciates the ED process and all that in entails. Next time, I will know.

Stopped by my dealer today...

Car has been released to the trucking company. The woman I spoke with said if it arrives tonight or tomorrow they might have it ready by Thanksgiving. If it arrives on Monday she said AFTER Thanksgiving...

Frak that! I told her I was aware of people getting their cars the same day they rolled off the truck.

We'll see what happens.

Just got email from my CA. I'm scheduled for PCD on 12/3...whilst excited I am agonizing over how slowly the next two weeks are going to pass by.

congrats to all you that got our cars back!! Enjoy those babies!!

Mlevack, I am getting really aggrevated when I hear your story and it is not even my car! Really, a guy spends six figures on an automobile and this is the treatment he gets? This is ridiculous, my friend. I thought I was getting substandard treatment, but I am being treated like royalty in comparison.

I am like you and I am usually not prone to make a fuss either, but I think you've passed that point and it is now time. Hope you get your car in the next few days before Thanksgiving. At any rate, there are several of us who are very sympathetic to you. Here's hoping you have good luck.

On a positive note, my car arrived at the dealership today and I will go pick it up tomorrow. Here's hoping it looks just like it did when I dropped it off........

To my surprise my car was on a truck arriving at my dealer in NH ... it was just released to trucking yesterday and made the track from NJ in less then 24hrs.
Even all modified parts (painted grills and exhaust tips, ///M Performance interior trim) all survived the trip

Push for it! My car came in around 10am and they had it ready by 5pm. Granted, my CA pushed them to get it done, but I don't think it was too difficult for them. I was expecting it to take a while since I was due for the 1200mi service, but they said it was done at the VDC (and I believe them, as all my service counters were reset). Really, they're not doing too much (quick wash, fill up the gas tank, fill out some paperwork).

Same here. Told yesterday car was with trucking company. We hope it will by registered by Friday or Saturday. Car is leased, so BMW Sudbury must have Certificate of Origin (apparently does not arrive with car), and then send a courier to Vermont for plates.

Keep the pics coming, I am having delivery withdrawal and this helps!

@mlevac: How close are you to your dealer? Storm the gates! Walk through the doors and get info. Stopping by the dealer yesterday was the best thing I have done since the ship arrived. It was a soothing visit.

BTW: Picking up the M3 in a few hours!!

Im only a few miles away, but I will give them until Monday. If the truck hasn't shown up, there's not much they can do. I will just continue to use my contact at MINI for now and will save my "talk" with them until I pick up the car (hopefully Monday). Frankly if I knew the trucking company was going to hold onto the car for nearly a week I would have just driven down to Brunswick, GA to pick it up :-)

In the mean time, I will try to relax and remember that of all the problems that people can have, waiting for your new 650 to arrive is pretty low on the list... Im fortunate to have such a nice car, I can wait a few more days.

MLEVACK - saw a new 2013 like yours... made me do a double take... Nice Choice!

Next time def do PCD in Greenville, SC.

I had some small road rash from Amsterdam (drivers front and rear), and one large rash (passenger front), from Nurburgring along with a corresponding chunk of tire missing from the sidewall (that's a story for another post... haha). All the rashed wheels were replaced or fixed and I have a brand new tire to replace the damaged one.

ZCP with P Zeros

Wasn't expecting the VPC to fix, so I'm stoked. Inspected the car and was unable to find any signs of overspray, etc...

Jes waitin' for tags and I'm out on the road.

That's pretty cool. I bet is has something to do with the insurance where minor things BMW covers directly and probably only liability and major losses are covered by the insurance co. Would make sense and save BMW a boat load in the long run.
