Hey guys i like the look of stock 7 but i want my front wheels to pop out a little bit, i was thinking about getting spacers but i have no knowledge of them so i thought you guys can help me out.
i have a stock 7 with no aftermarket wheels or suspension, my question is HOW MANY millimeters is best? and WHAT ARE THE BAD EFFECTS, IF ANY? thank you i found this one with 10mm in the front and 20mm in the back H&R on a 3 series

Well if anything at least your front drivers and pass doors will get dirtier faster from it throwing dirt and any moisture up behind it...

My initial thoughts are that I like the wider stance; it gives it a "beefier" look. Guess I would need to see a 7 in real life to make the final call. Can you get any good advice from your dealer?

I have used spacers on my MB for a wider stance and the (Brabus) wheels required them.
I think that it doesn't look good to get a wider stance without lowering the car though. When lowered, a wider stance definitely requires you have a wheel alignment with the proper camber adjustment or you'll wear out the inside of the tires even faster than when just lowered (in 5k miles or less). Also, you must use hub-centric spacers or your car will vibrate and give you a very poor ride. Good luck! Last edited by Wolfman64; 11-17-2012 at 11:52 AM. |

If you use spacers under 20MM, you are safer and won't feel any difference while driving.
If I was to put spacers on my stock 20's, I would do 10mm all around. Or 5mm front, 10mm rear.

do you think that the offset would be disturbed if i get 10mm all-around for my 19s?

10mm is pretty safe, just give the car a better stance but not affecting the suspension much.

I just got new rims for the winter yesterday. I'll fit them before December and probably with spacers. So I'll post 'em when I fit 'em
