iTunes Match Play and BMW Interface
Picked up a new iPhone 5 and decided to try iTunes Match. This service puts all your music in the iCloud and it streams to your device. It works well, but none of the files are actually on the device. However, my iPod interface is not seeing any songs. I did some searching and found some threads where the new iOS 6 solved this issue, however its not working for me. i.e. seeing the songs. It comes up empty when connected to the car. I guess I can download them to the iPhone but wanted to check to see if others have tried this and had success.

The iDrive will only play songs physically loaded on your iPhone.
If you have BMW Apps, you can use Pandora as a great streaming option.
