First post to Bimmerfest though I've been checking out the site and getting advice from you all for a few years now... P.S. thanks for the info
Current question... In the process of replacing my rear brakes came across lots of recommendations to use Akebono for less brake dust, which has been a thorn in my side for some time now with always using BMW pads. Question is, I don't see where Akebono has a sensor available with their pads... so can you mix brands on pads and sensors? I.E. should I just get the BMW sensor to make sure it all fits/works properly and will it be compatible with the Akebono pads? And has anyone been able to find an 'instore' option for buying the Akebonos at a decent price, or is online the only option to getting the lowest prices? I see they're running about $50-$60 for rears online right now, but instore I'm finding around $80... Appreciate the input in advance. |

I do not know the amswer to your question.
I have another one. How are you going to retract the electric rear brakes whilst hanging the pads? |
