God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

Pull the pump and check for makers name. They are usually proud enough of their work to put their name to it.

Maybe call the dealer with a vin#. Otherwise, pull the pump and re install it so you buy the correct one. I work for a Autoparts supplier and get these type of calls all day. If you don't know then don't order, don't waste everyone's time and money. (sorry to rant just tired of people not going through the proper steps)

It doesn't matter if it is a Vickers pump, because they only have ZF pumps available now.

Go here:

www.realoem.com

enter the last 7 digits of your VIN in the Serial Number search window and click "search".

click on "steering" in the menu

click on "power steering pump"

copy the part number of the pump off the resulting parts list.

go to Pelican's website and paste that number in the search window at the top left of every page. Click "go".

Unless it's been swapped for a different pump at some point in it's life, that's your pump. If it comes up as being a Vickers pump, you'll have to buy the two brackets to convert it to a ZF and buy a ZF. If you have a Vickers pump, you're going to get nailed with a pretty hefty core charge since you won't have a ZF pump to return.

Yes, of course, but the OP stated he wanted to buy one from Pelican and couldn't decide which pump he had. I was just trying to point out it didn't matter, since a replacement Vickers pump is unavailable (other than sourcing one from a breaker).
