Terry is going to ship me a USB cable to reload the firmware of the piggyback computer. This shouldn't have happened, but I guess I'm just that lucky

Terry has a few ideas and I need the USB connection to try out his suggestions. I happen to be a software engineer, so I'm not too worried about troubleshooting

Thank you, please keep us updated I was going to order one for my vehicle but I guess I'll have to wait until you get yours fixed and running as it should.

Yea sounds like im going with the Dinan tune. I dont have time to hassle with CEL and any other issues. The OP said he couldnt get his hooked up now your having trouble. Thanks but no thanks

I still have faith in the product, but I would recommend you to wait until I have things sorted out. It really isn't that challenging to install and remove.

To each of their own. The Dinan tune produces a lot more power, but I really wonder at what expense. Since I'm getting a free piggyback setup out of this deal, I'm willing to try to work things out for a little longer.

Any updates? Where you able to get it running right...

Mail takes forever to get to Canada and I just got the control module today.

I'll likely install it this weekend.

New member here, just installed the N55 BMS Stage 1 tune. Complete install took about 20-25 min. The hardest part is getting to the MAP Sensor under the air box, but the rest is very simple. Started right up with no problems. Drove it around the block and immediately noticed the difference. I will post up after a week if driving to give my opinion. Thanks Terry for making a great product that is very easy to install.

I managed to install the piggy back computer tonight. The entire process took about 30 ~ 40 minutes. Everything is SO much easier the second time around. I took my sweet time to ziptie everything in place, so it took a little longer.

I only got a chance to take her out for a quick drive, but WOW. There is no turbo lag and the extra torque down low is very noticeable. As soon as you step on the gas, the X just moves forward. Granted, it's not as fast as the M3, but the drive-ability is definitely improved. The throttle response (aside from the slow auto tranny) is comparable to the E46 M3 which has six individual throttle bodies and is infamous for great throttle response.

After a few miles, I switched over to manual shifting. Up high, the engine really screams and it's definitely faster when the revs are high.

Overall, it's an excellent mod especially for the price. The install isn't too bad, and I will create a more detailed install doc with a long term review.

Here's my quick review after a driving with the Tune for a week. Please remember this is my opinion for the way I drive.

1. Turbo lag is greatly reduced.
2. Throttle response is much better.
3. It my be my imagination, but it seems like I can hear the Turbo more under hard acceleration.
4. Normal driving is unchanged.
5. Great product for the price. Recommended to anyone driving E70 N55.

From what I can tell, MPG is same. Understand that it will drop a bit after you install only because of the pedal mashing, feeling the difference and your own testing of the Tune.

I will post up my avg MPG (for the tank) after I fill up.

I highly recommend his product if you're thinking about getting one.

One more question; How is the everyday driving... when not under boost or at low boost levels; any difference

If you add 50 + hp and 50+lb torque ( or whatever the actual #'s are) , is there no concern
that the tranny/drive train was not designed for this extra power?
Warranty issues?
