Bought my first BMW this weekend
Bought a CPO 2009 X5 3.0i. Black sapphire exterior, and gray leather interior. Had 39K miles on it. Came with cold weather package, premium package, technology package and climate package. First SUV and first BMW I've ever owned.
Loving it! Couldn't believe the amazing pick up to 60+ mph getting on the highway. Still trying to get used to and figure out all the features. I purchased the extended tire warranty, but nothing else. Any recommendations for any of the warranties that I should consider (maintenance, resist all, etc.)? The original warranty expires 8/2013, and the extended CPO warranty expires 8/2015. |

Not trying to be a jerk but what would you do if everyone voted that you paid too much for the car?

Given you spent $1500 on that tire plan, I'll vote 'too much'
For $140 you can buy road hazard insurnace, and just buy replacement tires with roadhazard plans for the next two sets of tires- $420 total. You didnt fall for the "Its a BMW, you cannot patch those runflats" did you?Tell you what- what was the MSRP of your car? Multiply that by 52%... that would be the target. Dealers usually pay a few k less than that to get it off lease, spend $2000 for the CPO and the rest is profit. Dealers make more on used cars than new, based on feedback from salesmen...

I had been eyeing the car I picked up on the dealer's website for a few weeks. It was listed for $37,995. When I went in for the red tag sale, it was marked down to $36K. I test drove it, fell in love with it, and bought it. Got 2.9% APR financing for 60 months. |

forget about if you paid too much or not. Just enjoy your X5. You might have paid a couple more thousands but if you really enjoy driving it and keep you smiling then it might be worth it.

In September I bought a CPO 2011 Premium with the following....
Comfort package (I think that's part of the Premium bundling) Technology package Cold weather package Upgraded Audio mini spare It had 31K miles and the sticker was 36K. I think I paid around $35K.

Grats on the new car. Next time check KBB and Edmunds, that way you won't need to ask anybody if you got a good deal.

I did do that! KBB estimate was $39k-ish so I was happy with paying $36K
