E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135. |

iPhone 5 Lightning Adapter
I ordered a 30-pin to lightning adapter to use with the Y-cable and my iPhone 5. Everything works but it doesn't charge, which is strange because the lightning adapter is supposed to support USB charging.
Has anyone else messed with this? Any info?

Same problem. All functions work as before except I now get that pesky "charging not supported" pop up....
I'm upgrading to IOS 6.01 (from IOS 6). Doubtful that will fix this. |

Quick update:
I ordered this cable to replace the BMW cable and it seems to be working better now, I haven't had this charge issue in days. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00

Ditto on the Amazon cable. It seems to properly integrate with the lightning adaptor to give all the functionality I had before, including charging.

I just tried my aftermarket cable ($10 new on eBay) and it works fine with the lightning adapter - charges and shares information with the car like it did with my iPhone 4.
