Telebrands has had some dark times like bankrupcy around 2001. Some less than encouraging grumblings have been heard throughout this year.

I am aware of too many appalling business practices which I will not spew in this thread.

I have stories about that ring too. Basically I had to secure an exact replica of the ring at 4pm on a Friday with the shoot by Anthony Sullivan in Florida the next morning. Talk about nearly impossible.

That dude is an absolute idiot!! I can't stand his reviews. He gets the MOST basic things wrong. (Not just in this video.) NOTHING he says holds an ounce of weight with me. Did you know BMWs are designed in Stuttgart and Mercs are designed in Munich? And to think, all these years I've thought it was just the opposite. I guess I'm just not an automotive "journalist".

I do believe he is the only person I've EVER heard say the Merc C Class is a better driver's car than a BMW 3 Series. Really?! He must have been smoking crack right before that review.

This is exactly what I said after I test drove the ATS 3.6, I wished a car in this segment that has the 3 series' engine refinement, but the ATS's steering and chassis, which includes brakes. I just didn't think about the C350 too much.

You know a lot was said about how fast the F30 335i is, and people glow about the fact they were caught surprised the car was doing 80+ on the highway when they sought it was doing just 60.

At the first glance it sounded very good, but it also points out the F30 isolated the driver from the road more so than the previous gens. In fact back in the days the most bragging point about the Mercedes sports cars was that they could go 100 and felt like doing 70. That was many years ago, old talking points.

How things have come full circle.

BJ was right about BMW going after those seeking luxury and comfort. I must give him that.

Load of hooey! The exact same thing was, and is, said of the E46 and the E90. Because the car is so planted to the road and feels so secure and well controlled. Exactly NOTHING to do with feeling isolated from the road, which is exactly what makes moving at high speed feel unsafe.

As I mentioned, that guy is an idiot. Agreeing with his assessments is not something to feel good about. And, again, I'm not referring just to this review. Every review I've seen of his is just stupid. He's a "journalist", yet he frequently can't put into words what it is he likes or dislikes about the cars he reviews; "there's just something about it.". Really?!

In this particular review he is spot on. All other reviews shared his opinion, including C & D which is very pro BMW and pro 3 series. ATS is simply a better sport sedan.

The Stuttgart and Munich comment was referring to his assertion that MB and BMW copy each other's ideas shamelessly, in case you missed it.

Personally I will not call the ATS simply a better sport sedan. They both have enough pros and cons to declare one is better than the other. But I agree with him, the ATS 3.6 makes you wanting to keep driving, encourages you to push it at the corners more. It was difficult to describe, you just have to drive it, and drive it hard to feel it.

I don't think you gain much credibility by just calling him an idiot, and therefore he must be wrong, without telling us why you are correct when you say for example you reached the opposite conclusion about the handling of the cars.

Also it was not just his own view, notice he said "we think...". I think more than one MT reviewers did that comparison, and agreed on the verdict in principle, he was just the more enthusiastic of the group

And BTW, you did miss the point made by the previous poster. The guy intentionally switched the headquarters around to prove his point that the two German companies steal each other's infotainment designs.
