Can someone tell me if this estimate looks right? seems high for me but I really don't know.

Not bad on the parts side as listed, you don't have to go with the non-solid plates in the front if you want to save $60. lol but I would go with ceramic pads.
As far as labor that seems a bit high based on supply and demand. (bb/plainfield/naper)..But, I do all my own work, so....Sucks that labor is labor, easy or difficult.. What's the plan, and Why? I see gaskets but are you replacing the chain or guides? Why the gaskets? VPG is pretty typical, smell coolant burning, poor heat or? one has to pull up the rail and intake manifold to get at it thus the (what, no intake gasket set ?). For the DIY'ers, if ever attempted- replace the rubber ring gaskets on the rail. Made a HUGE differance..I'm not sure I'll be on here when you answer but more of the story helps those who your asking. |
