Service Manual

Hi All. I am a new member of the forum. I'm having some major issues with my 2002 X5. The X5 completely shuts off as I am cornering or stopped at a light. My father-in-law is a DIY mechanic and is working on the vehicle, but we cannot track down a copy of a repair/service manual. I've been to local autoparts stores with no luck. I was told that I should try a forum to point me in the right direction. I've spent some time looking on the site for a manual, but to no avail. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
