Mine is Grey on Grey. Boring! 98k should be no problem with that car if it has been maintained well. It's a great engine. Most likely, I'll keep mine for a couple more years.

38 months and 25k awesome miles. Looks like new, runs like the wind and gets amazing mileage for a sports sedan. Except for a new 911, I covet no other car. The off lease 535s are dirt cheap, maybe 34k CPO. Good luck with the hunt.

Alcantara steering wheels replaced in E46. In my wife's e90 windshield and windshield molding replaced bc of molding failing prematurely. In my wife's e90, dashboard cup holders replaced due to getting stuck shut. In my E60 park distance control replaced. My rep at BMW specifically told me that all of my electronics including navigation were covered under my warranty as they replaced my pdc unit for free. |

Certain electronics are not covered. Namely Nav & Audio. All else is covered, including ECU, wiring, lights, switches, and the various control modules throughout the car.

What did they find after the two weeks? Our 2010, 535i had the fuel pump fail and replaced at 2500 miles. Now at 29,000 miles , the check engine light came on with occasional rough idling and the dealer has had the car for 9 days with no answer! They have used walnut shells to clean the valves of carbon, replaced all the O2 sensors, and yet the light comes on about 8 seconds after a cold start. The dealer is working with "BMW in New Jersey" to get permission to swap out the computer? Maybe "Sandy" is holding things up. Thankfully we did get a loaner, a 2013 328i with 250 miles on it.

The factory warranty will expire on my '09 535 that I bought as a CPO almost a year ago. So far, it has been totally problem free. I just had a complimnentary check done and they said no issues were found, They did the required brake fluid flush at the same time. While I was there, a salesman asked if I had a tune on the car and I said I didn't want to void the warranty. He said they do the Dinan tune and that doesn't void the warranty. I decided to have a stage 2 put on. Now I am having a little buyers remorse because I forgot about the fact that I was going to look at an extended warranty. Dinan now offers an extended warranty for Dinan cars and their top program (exclusionary) covers most major components EXCEPT navigation. I talked to Dinan several times and they said they are looking into offering coverage for the navigation system also. The finance officer at the dealer said they are going to offer a "wrap around" warranty to supplement the CPO that would cover pretty much everything the factory warranty covered but he didn't have any litature on it since it's pretty new. He "claims" the Dinan tune wouldn't be a problem with this warranty. I have till the end of February to decide since that's when my factory warrant will expire but I will most likely go with one of those two. I don't think I want to own a 5 without an extended warranty.

Depends on the warranty company, Some cover fully and some cover part of it.. Some warranty company deny the hours dealers claim to install/fix the issue to make sure they have a reason to let the customer pay for the delta..

Sorry about that last post. I recently purchased an 09 535i cpo. I did purchased the "BMW Wrap" to fill the gaps of the cpo coverage. I called the warranty company and they confirmed that the "wrap" will cover the electronics and wheels for road hazard.

That's what the salesman told me about at the dealer I was at but they are just starting to offer it. What is the name of the company doing yours?

To add to the piece of mind with a CPO, my wife's E90 328xi that she purchased July 2011 was just bought back by BMW. They bought the vehicle back for the exact amount remaining on financing(which was much more than auction value and exactly kbb value). Since purchase the vehicle had been in for service 6 times for things that normally should not be going wrong at 57k miles. The car had vcg replaced, vvt gasket replaced, exhaust manifold replaced, coil packs replaced, windshield molding replaced and passenger seat occupancy sensor replaced. After bringing the car in for service 3 times in one month (all free under cpo warranty), we decided to part ways with this vehicle. It took a bit of a fight and talking to the used sales manager, the service manager and the new sales manager, but it worked out. As per BMW buy back policy, BMW bought the car back and sold us a brand new f30 328xi at cost. Had this vehicle been bought out of warranty we would be SOL. I strongly recommend a cpo vehicle for any luxury/exotic car.

Obviously there was a price difference between the E90 and the F30. Long story short, our hands wiped clean of the E90. 5k down and only an 80$/mo increase in payments vs the e90. So yeah my wife made out like a bandit. All in all, bc of the price the new car was sold to us, and the buyback we only spent $1500 to own the E90 for 15 months.
