Waterpump seized
waterpump is seized on 1998 bmw 318i. tapped a few time, no movement. Been working on it the last 2 weekends. Help.

Did you try using the threaded extractor tabs?

They are threaded. You insert bolts into the threaded holes and begin tightening them gradually, a little on each side at a time, until it pushes the water pump out of the engine.

I couldn't get my waterpump out for the life of me, and the extractor tabs took it out in seconds.. Very useful! The reason it's so tight is because of the rubber ring seal that keeps coolant from leaking out.
