I am ready to lease a 2012 X5 diesel... need help on pricing

I am ready to purchase a 2012 X5 diesel.. with options the MSRP is $67,800. With all the incentives (eco, holiday, loyalty, etc) the dealer has offered me $1770 down and $841/month (including Massachusetts taxes) for 36 months 12k miles/year.

I am all for allowing the dealer to make a couple of bucks... I just don't want to be taken advantage of... I am interested in what everybody thinks about this deal.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

You`d have more expert advice and exposure for replies in the ASK A DEALER section. The fest dealers, who are straight forward, post enough information to help you with the lease process.

G lucks!

OP,

Forum members are reporting leasing 2012 X5d with only $500-1000 dealer profit. That's Invoice (not MSRP) plus $500-1000 minus all incentives (eco, loyalty, etc.) plus tax. The final price should be thousands UNDER invoice with ZERO down. You need to provide more information (invoice, what incentives do you qualify for...) for you to get more accurate opinions. Still, just judging by the numbers you provide, it looks like not such a good deal. Others have leased similar vehicles for much less, and that's with zero down. Do some homework: get your invoice, MF, etc. Learn how to calculate a monthly payment on a lease. Figure out what your monthly payment should be around with the dealer making $500-1000 in profit, and go to your dealer with that offer. Ideally, you should get offers from more than one dealer in case your local dealer refuses to budge. You should have other options and be willing to walk out if that happens. Nothing brings a dealer back to the negotiating table faster than a customer walking out the door.
