Plasti dipped my style 65s.

Ok so i plasti dipped my style 65s. its just temp. not for good. i just wanted to see what this would look like before powdercoat. This is called silver metalizer if anyone is interested. looks great when the sun shines on it.

i think it looks good. how many cans did you need? did you paint over the m emblem? can just scratch off and reveal it again.

I like it! It looks better than what I expected from Plasti-dip.

i did 4 coats. and ya i took it off the M's after i took the pic. Im prob going to powdercoat them soon with a dark grey like this one.

Looks pretty decent, plasti dip is magic in a can

Nice ride, wheels look great. It doesn't seem rice-a-roni to me to have a nice ride, but each to their own.

Surprisingly they look very nice and not rice at all.

uhhh... 6cyl E39 with spray painted emblems, spray painted rims, rice bulbs in the angel eyes, chinese kidney grilles, and M5 body kit with stickers on the front bumper.... i'm not hating by any means, to each their own, but how can you seriously say that isn't rice?? And if that isn't rice, then what is?

Rice in my book is cardboard,spoilers,22" rims, ricers don't you proper English, crappy body kit that is falling off and spray painted or just primer. I like the grilled black is sporty, stickers I'm in partial. Has long as he is taking good care of his car it's fine with me.

i guess everyone has different opinions on what rice is...i thought rice was slow cars made to "look" fast by using chinese parts, and paints/plastidip

damn you hattin.... 6 cly e39... show me a pic of your 540... and FYI i would buy 3 2000 540s with what i have put into this 530... and im only 18 so hop off. i dont go off on people for no reason but every post i do you say the same damn thing.

lala ray. in person it doest look high at all. but i do want to drop it with coilovers. But im kinda affraid to. As it is i scrape all the time with my front bumper, so im gonna have to go for a ride with someone with a dropped e39 before i make up my mind on lowering it.

I feel you man. Your car is pretty. Like I said before I consider rice to be a half ass job.

I personally don't like style 65s I would much prefer 19" m-pars.

I Love!!!! 19in M pars... the problem is getting your hands on em.

I've never actually seen the metallic P-dip in stores. Where did you get it?

Bmw purists always hate on everything that is not stock--i think they came out nice and not rice a roni at all--plasti dip is easy to use and the finish looks great, + if you dont like it anymore its not permenant and peels off

Thank you, you can only get this one online. I got mine from Dipyourcar.com for 28 dollars for 2 cans but on ebay its like 22 dollars for 2 cans so you should get em from there if you wanted them. There is many diffrent colors i never knew about, There is Gold metalizer too which i think looks amazing on rims but isnt the look im going for.

Please don't. The last thing I want to see is a riced out 540 with german flags and spray paint and a license plate on the dashboard (you know what that does to people in accidents, right)
