What is with the sound of the HK 440watt Stereo from outside the car?

This stereo sounds amazing from inside the car, Logic7, treble and bass are responsive and make my driving experience so much better than my previous ride... but here is the issue, has anyone else heard this? The subs sound horrible from outside the car, like they are over extending or something, is this only me? I know I read a couple more posts, cannot find them, that complained about the sound... I payed 42k +taxes and interest for a car that has a horrible sound from outside the car... I know its all about what it sounds like to you, but boy its embarrassing when someone from outside is looking in and goes, man your stereo sounds like crap... I am asking my dealer about it, and he has dodged the question first time around, this time I am hammering him with it... please I need to know this can be fixed...

FYI: I have reset the stereo to default and still the same thing, turn the volume up, the bass pounds and sounds great from inside, but outside... still sounds like garbage...

I do agree with you... but man... get in the car and drive. Who the hell cares what people outside the car think?

I hear you about just driving the car, a week with my little beast and I love the way the car sounds, with the stereo off, as a side note, for others, BMW Dealer says that its normal, I don't consider overpowered subs normal... has anyone thought to replace the 2 subs with higher quality subs??
