Fueling Problem 2002 325i
I've been having a problem with fueling my 325i up. The tank won't accept the fuel quickly, and I have to sit at the gas pump and trickle the gas into the tank. I'm a pretty confident DIY'er, and have done a bunch of work on my BMW, but I have no idea how the fuel tank works, or what would be making the fuel lines not accept fuel at full strength. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I've heard of this issue affecting some Porsches. Has to do with the vapor recovery system. Don't know if it applies to BMWs, though.

Really? Interesting. I think it must have something to do with things put into place that will stop fuel from being siphoned, or something along those lines. Any idea of how to fix the problem, or where to start as far as fixing it? I appreciate the help! Thanks!

Check in the E39 forum. I think there's a long thread there by Bluebee on this very issue.
