335is winter

My first time posting. Forgive me if I did something wrong.
Hello all. I am picking up a 335is in a week and looking to get 17 inch wheels for it for winter tires that I have from my current 335 (225/45R-17 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 from TireRack ). I read that one has to be careful with choosing 17 inch wheels for the 335 with sport package or 335is because of the possible brake clearance issue. I looked on Tire Rack for the available wheels for the 335is and found a variety of 17 inch wheels that as I understand Tire Rack knows will fit the 335is. I wanted to ask for some guidance on choosing a set of wheel. I was looking at the cheapest that was available, about $100 per wheel If I were to get the black painted wheels, is black paint somehow more prone to discoloring or chipping? The cheaper the wheels the worse quality? Can someone please share their knowledge on selecting wheels?
Also, as I understand I have to get the TPMS sensors for the new set of wheels? Anyone knows how the system will react to the absence of the TPMS?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.
