VPC option summary

Does anyone have a summary of the available options at the prep center. I have seen the catalog for performance parts but it doesn't seem complete. Also, no prices and certainly no invoice pricing.

Finally I've heard differing answers on residual value - from hearing all parts are zero residual value to people stating specifically there was a residual costs for their exhaust etc.

It'd be great if there was something somewhat consolidated...

Earlier this week I was notified that the VPC in Oxnard could not install the performance exhaust on a 328i because they had still not received them though they can install the 4 wheel Brembo BBK. Pricing goes through your CA, just like any other option you choose to add to your car.

This should give you some information. I think I might have posted residual values at one point as well.

This is great, thank you Tim!

The mystery to me is the residualized amount. Mostly I'm hearing items are not residualized at all ($0). It sounds like maybe some items are and others are not. How is this determined finally when you sell one of these items for install at the VPC?

Adding a VPC item to the order will bump the invoice and MSRP but is the residual amount on the paperwork somehow updated/linked? If so the CA can add the items I am curious about and see once and for all re how much the residual value changes, if at all. If its a manual system where the CA just punches in the amount from the paperwork... and my CA says its zero, its zero. Make sense?

One thing I'm wondering - is there a separate wheel catalog? I see the 20" wheels on the order guide you made but was wondering about things like the 403M (19") wheels. From the residual list it sounds like this is possible but not quite sure. (Goal would be to figure out 403M wheels on a Sport Line. Upgraded to 19" though on order so that was probably a waste if this were possible except tires stay same...)

In any case thank you again Tim!

I'm not following what you're asking. Are you simply looking for the cost of the style 403s?

Yes - I guess that is about all I'm asking.

The tires from the 401 19" on order with the car in my case would stay.

I would pay the cost of the 403M, I'm assuming there is no sort of "core" cost for taking off the 401 set.

Then for lease calculation the MSRP goes up by the MSRP price but the residual only goes up (in this case) $550, right?

That is how I would read it. In my opinion if you want the 403s you'd be much better off buying them and selling your stock wheels or buying them and holding your stocks until lease turn in and then selling the 403s. I'm sure there will be a decent number of 403s floating around as people upgrade to aftermarket wheels on the M Sports.

Agreed, thank you. Plus knowing me once I actually get a vehicle here I'll start driving it and forget all about this...

It's the wait.
