First Boeing 787 Dreamliner Flight - Seattle Tokyo

Earlier this week, I flew on the launch flight of ANA´s Dreamliner 787 service from Seattle to Tokyo.

Although we had a delay due to a mechanical problem, the flight was still incredible.

The Boeing Dreamliner is the newest, sleekest, and most rarely-seen airliner currently in service. If you want to fly on it from the United States, you currently only have two choices and one of them is ANA (All Nippon Airways) the launch customer for the program.

I'm a huge ANA fan. I think their (in-flight) First Class product crushes Singapore, Cathay, and Emirates. There's something about the high standards of Japanese service I just love.

It also is cool that they're operating the 787 on a SEA route. (It also happens to be that the route is perfect for the 787.)

Just flew on the 787 and compliments to the hardworking and talented folks at Boeing. The aircraft is truly amazing in both economy and first classes with an added level of comfort and noticeably quieter engines. The cabin is significantly more pleasing aesthetically and practically - no contortionist skills required to use the bathrooms where the toilet and faucets are optically activated. The windows are a special treat with enlarged viewing areas, and the electrochemically dimmed glass is both very useful for reducing the ambient light and blackening the cabin. The United crew was also very friendly and accommodating.
