Nav Screen replacement
Thank you all for the information provided on replacing the nav screen in my X5, i ordered the new screen from Hong Kong which arrived 3 days later. It took me less than 2 hours before it was installed, using few tools and works perfectly, cost 169usd.

Nav screen
I emailed these guys through the web site and the price covered postage to Doha where I am currently working. It took about 5 days to arrive and fitted as per the old one, cable conections were exactly as per the old one. The new one was manufactured by SHARP
I found a u tube video to follow and was surprised how easy it was to change. I purchased a small set of multi screwdrivers, a small pair of long nose pliers would be handy to lift the clips on the ribbon cables. I thought it would require some professional help to do, but by following the video it didnt take long good luck Gary http://www.eurotech-lcd.com |

Hi is this for a 2000 x5? My screen just cracked after an accident. I need a replacement and not very mechanical. Wanted to give it a try though - quoted $1000 to replace.

When you go on the web site or just email them as they have models for all cars i would think, mine was a 2006. If you find the u tube link you will be able to do it. I am no mechanic or electrician for that matter but did it easily.
