How long between order submitted and production started? Mine is sitting in order submitted and I'm anxious for production to start.

Ask your dealer the production week for the build. There is no way to know if your vehicle will be built next week or next year otherwise.

I sat with my sales manager on the evening of November 13th (it was the 14th in Munich) as he and I processed the order. He pulled up his allotment screen and there she was, waiting to be customized. Even he said that it was somewhat of a stroke of luck to have a unit sitting at the doorstep of production. Particularly, given that as we are in Utah, most of their allotment is for X-Drive units. We ordered it and it rolled into production a few hours later. The other stroke of luck was the timing of the ship. Often, a vehicle will not make the first ship - mine did. It's scheduled to arrive in Port Hueneme (Oxnard), CA on December, 26th. That is less than 6 weeks from the time I placed the order!! When I ordered, I was told 3 months. I must say, I am both impressed and rather stoked!!

Nov. 13th was my b-day (arg: 40). So let's pretend you bought yourself a new F10 to celebrate it? Hehe.

I am in Utah too, but ordered my car through a dealership in Nebraska. The car will likely be dropped off on the East coast.

I finalized last week (Thursday). They modified an existing production slot for which they had already submitted an order. So I'm hoping this expedites. Tomorrow, I will ask when the slot was slated to begin production.

I will say, I've already pulled out 23% of my hair waiting for this thing and it's only been 4 days now! I didn't read the fine print that says ordering will cause pre-mature hair loss.

As someone who has just picked up his 550 M-Sport Mani, I can assure you that it is unbelievable.
