Tend to agree. I was hoping that they be brighter with 40Watt output. Others are as low a 6Watt.

Unless of course it's 40Watts combined for both sides...

The Stahl LED replacements I'm using may not perfectly recreate the look of the current model year but in my opinion look 100 times better than the ugly yellow look the halogen bulbs gave. I've used a number of different halogen bulbs and none gave a good white output. Some even gave off codes. I also tried a different vendor's LED and saw that the center ring was way brighter than the outer. With these I get good output out of both AE rings.

Personally, I'm not willing to run wires and drill holes to accommodate HIDs.

Wow those are really dim, this is why E92Lighting didn't want to post any pictures of his own products, they're vaporware!

Lol, I agree; if you have a product which is supposedly superior you would post tons of pictures, the issue is there is no "silver bullet" when it comes to aftermarket angle eyes.

Strahl

Took out my alpines and replaced with Strahls kit. Though not as blindingly bright as the alpines, the strahls still look good. I bought the strahl kit to see if the reason my outer rings dimmed was due to something in the alpine kit/parts. As you can see in my pic with the strahls, the outer rings are still bad. Thinking the alpine lights damaged the rings. Anyone?

Sorry to hear that happened with your outer rings. I run the Strahls and my outter rings light up fine. Glad I never went with using the HID

I hate to jump in here so late but I installed the following back in June :

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...hlight=umnitza

Yes they were cheap and stupid easy to install. Yes I did have a code issue that was easily rectified with an extra resistor. No I do not have any dimming after 6 months. They are not the brightest bulbs in the pack but they sure look good

I had that brand prior to the Strahls. Problem with that brand was the outer ring was still quite dim.

Could it be the mixing back and forth with AEs?

Mine have worked flawless *knock on wood*

watch out for failed fiber optics, HID angel eyes get extremely hot, headlights are already over $2000.

it was common back in 2010 to put 55w HID bulbs in the angel eyes, hence the possibility of melting angel eyes was high. but since then, 35w HID have come into the market and operates at a lower temp.

hence it is why i was asking the date of that photo. and that is the only photo i have every seen. also it shows the right hand side of the angel eye to be broken off, could be a defective early model or tampered with or otherwise.

at the end of the day, only a few things are clear, BMW headlight design is weak in comparison to Mercedes Benz and audi. Mtec's design is rather rudimentary and unsatisfactory, quite frankly i am surprised an American company such as yours cannot manufacture a rather brilliant retrofit.

Also the stuff you sell on your website is almost all from china, in the UK, anyone can import that stuff from china without question, even the cree led's, your 5600+lm per fog bulbs are actually advertised as by the real manufacturer as 1800-2500 per item. Won't be surprised if you file for bankruptcy in 5 years.

i diverge, people will choose to believe what they want to believe.

Over 3 years. I put less than 7k miles on my car/ year and it never gets super hot here. Your results may vary.

Very few, like one or two have complained that the HID's melted their headlight assemble. So I say go for it.

a perfect example of Dogma, which is defined as living with the results of others peoples thinking, when did we claim our MTEC led fog light kits are over 5600+ lumens??

any proof? we didnt think so since we didnt say that?

please go back to elementary school, where they teach you how to read and write and also basic math, you already failed twice, you think you know so much about HID angel eyes? you think you do, but obviously need much guided help, besides, we are actually designers , we can design HID angel eyes very easily anytime we want, maybe there is something that is hindering the process?

certain knowledge is better not said in public, sorry to be so dramatic, but its actually quite true
