lost 5th gear?
Hey all, relatively new here, 05 325xi, 110k, on way home from work today won't shift into 5th gear. It seemed to go in manually but not 100% sure, also noticed when going back to auto it seemed to try and shift but no luck, rpms jumped up and down a bit.
I do have a service contract, but not sure what my next move is? Since I have the contract would going to the dealer be the best choice? Not mechanically inclined so any advice would be appreciated.

Start by reading the contract and hope it covers a new transmission.
