Proof of Dealer Invoice Pricing?
Hi,
Our local dealer offered me $800 over "Invoice," but what they are saying is their "Invoice" base price is still about $1200 higher than the invoice pricing listed on either Edmunds or BMWConfig. What document should I ask the dealer to show me to know I'm getting real invoice pricing and not "padded" invoice pricing? They could make anything up and say it's their "invoice" price... Thanks! |

Play his game and offer him INVOICE ONLY then...
I showed mine a copy of BMWconfig and stated that I had other dealers willing to do it for $200 over cost if I wanted to travel. He finally conceded. The other thing missing from the BMWconfig "invoice" is the MACO cost which are $400 so if his Invoice is $400 higher than yours, that is the difference and yes, they can both be INVOICE (just with differing components). Some have gotten MACO waived, others have not been able to.

Youll see each item- base, each option, delivery, etc. It should be easy to find where the two invoices are discrepant. $800 is hefty in this market, so I'm not sure I'd pay maco PLUS 800. Your call. GL A

Monterey BMW is not part of the bay area region and does not charge MACO When I purchased at Monterey last May, the invoice matched the numbers from BMWConfig (one option was $5 less). There was a $180 Training/Service fee. |
