I'm not 100% versed in the situation, but in CA, it's decriminalized, whereas in WA, it's legalized...

It's legal here. You just need a medical card, many collectives have doctors on site.

I can tell you how it will play out though, it will fizzle faster than California's did. Federal attorneys are coming in here and seizing not only assets belonging to distributors and collectives, but also real property being used by them even if they don't own it. So if you own a retail building and one of your tenants is a collective, they are directing you to evict the collective immediately or they'll size the whole property. Banks are federally regulated so most of us, including mine, do not bank pot clubs. Finally, most cities that allowed it like SJ, Oak, and LA are now going back and revoking the permits.

The whole industry is being pushed back underground in a hurry.

Personally, I don't care, never touched it. But, I'd rather it be legal and regulated and taxed like hell.

Actually, I haven't noticed anything going on around where I work, but I have friends who live elsewhere in the city that said the weed clouds drifted into town at 12:01am and were still lingering when it was time to head to work at 7am.

First medical marijuana became legal, then all marijuana became decriminalized (still illegal, but you wouldn't be prosecuted), and now it is fully legal (sort of). It's still illegal to buy and to grow weed, but it isn't illegal to smoke in private. It's a bit odd, but basically the only way you can legally smoke pot here is if a bag of weed falls from the sky. Nevertheless, the laws will soon evolve to specify how marijuana can be legally bought and sold. It's going to be regulated by the state, but they have yet to figure out exactly how.

How far/often do you drive? You can do a hell of a lot more with a Miata than a BMW with the same budget. The reason I sold mine was because I rarely had a chance to just go womp on it, and it was just a cramped, wobbly mess on the interstate.

However, if I didn't drive on a daily basis or was still in school and had lots of time and could use other means of transportation, a turbo miata is about the best bang for your buck for performance. The kit for the 1.8 is like $2500.

I drive 44 miles to school and back every day. My drive is mostly twisty mount road that would fun in a Miata. Then when it is above 60f I always have my windows and sunroof down, so have a convertible would be perfect for that. The only thing stopping me is that I would have to sell my BMW to get a Miata. Sell my BMW would simply be a nightmare. I drive my BMW almost every day so after I sold it I would have to get ride everywhere. This could go on for months as I look for a Miata. Also I have a lot of time and money invested in my BMW so I not really looking forward to selling it.
Honestly, I think my best bet is to get a part time job and start saving. Then in the spring start looking and see what comes up. That way I would not have to sell the BMW and I could have a Miata as a second car. Witch would come in handy when I need to take the BMW apart for more than two day.

Of all the car companies out there, Mazda is pretty much the only one who prioritizes sporty handling throughout most of their lineup. Also, I remember back a number of years ago when I test drove a 1st gen Mazda3. The interior was WAAAAY nicer than anything else in the segment. They have also invested heavily in club and professional motorsport racing for decades, which few car companies do, and it shows. By most accounts, Mazda is run by engineers and enthusiasts, and not by bean counters.

I have to seriously disagree here Karl, Mazda makes pretty much NOTHING that's competetive IMO. The Miata is what it is. The small crossover seems decent, at least it's good on gas.

6 is very very very very bland, like 90s Accord. The new one that's coming does look better from the little I've seen, but that class is so competitive ANY of the cars you get will be great.

3 is ok, but then again, nothing special. I'd rather have the new turbo Focus.

I consider them in the same class as Mitsubishi/Dodge/Acura/Lincoln/Infinity, basically all the brands that are behind in almost every category and have been and will be for a long time.

Consumer Reports says Ford’s highly touted new hybrid cars are delivering lower than expected fuel efficiency.

In real world testing conducted by the magazine, the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid, which has an EPA rating of 47 mpg, got 39 mpg while the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid, also rated at 47 mpg, delivered just 37 mpg.

The publication says that these are the worst discrepancies it’s ever seen in its tests.
