Asc / Ask issues

Radio would not play so I swapped out the audio sound controller. That didn't help and I found that the only way I can navigate through the display screen is to "reboot" the fiber optic cable in the glove box. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

You need to find faulty unit in multimedia bus:
Bypass one by one:
Voice module
Navi
L7
Phone

Thanks SF, I went to BMW and got the part to bypass. I tried it on all 4 units and found the Nav system was part of the problem. I left the bypass on it but still don't any any sound. Does anyone know how to bench test the ASK unit? I'm starting to wonder if I got a bad replacement unit.

There might be more than one broken unit. Voice module is very common

I failed to mention we bypassed that as well. We got two bypass units and used them on all the various units in different combinations.
