No I ment the big metal one I unscrewed the 3 bolts on the right and loosened the other side then I did not have to deal with it dropping to the ground Got the bolt put it back in the throttle body reassembled the car and found that my transfer case my dealer serviced last week is pissing oil all over my parking space. LOL its just awesome. CAR fired up but the fan went on full speed after a couple of minutes

umm..

Car needs mechatronics seal again LOL its only been 3,000 since it was last done.

Is the car running ok now? Was that the issue all along?

Cal is sending an invoice for the Internet Diagnosis that fixed Leekay's car. Would be interested if the BMW dealerships ever admit incompetence and/or refund any of the ~$3K in 'repair' bills. It was about $3K down the drain right?

Might mean RB Turbo's PCV valve upgrade. $45 from Rob, but not on the site in the first link.

If I use it and Methanol they should keep the inlets relatively clean because the methanol should/will keep the build up down.

Here's something re: PCV valve problems, by da man.

Sadly, methanol reputed to have minimal if any effect on valve coking. Counter-intuitive, no?

it wont remove junk but it will keep it from sticking. The issue is that its always dry and then the oil vapor hits it and sticks to the walls You can clearly see on my pic that the oil formed a trail down to the valve. Cylinders 4-6 where not so bad and I can only put that down to the fact the injectors would trickle/leak and the gas vapor in the cylinders made it harder for the oil to stick to the walls or even eat the stuff from the walls of the inlets.
