door speakers
I just bought a 93 325is (my first BMW) is did not come with any of the speakers in the door panels. If my search gleamed the correct information, there should be a 3.5" midrange speaker and a 1" tweeter. There are only holes. my question is has amyone ever put 4x6" 2 way speakers in thos location and if so, pics?

Like that? Anything and everything has been done. Search and you may not find exactly what you're loiking for, but it will give you an idea.

Damn. That has to be insanely loud. Not exactly what I was looking for, but it did give me an idea on what to do. My door panels are the wrong color anyway, so I will fill the holes for the stock speakers and put a 6.5" in the bottom. And reupholster them the right color while I'm at it

Re-upholstering these panels is not easy, many many many many people have tried and failed. DIY and professional shops alike.
I'm still trying to figure out the secret step..

I have grey door panels (that are loose and have random screws in them) and a tan and brown interior. I have to do something. Even if I have to pull all the upholstery off and then body filler and paint. My girlfriend wrecked my Subaru yesterday, so some junkyard picking is in my plans for the weekend. Maybe I'll luck out and find some door panels.

It's a coupe. I will definitely post pics and what steps I take. As a body man I have access to some of the best adhesives in the world. (yes I am a body man and a mechanic and I am actually very good at both) I'm on my way to the junk yard right now for Subaru parts. I'll see what's there.
