Swag
It was nice to get this BMW swag in the mail today. BMW should consider moving up from 2GB to 8GB at least.
Is every new F30 owner getting this? Or are different people getting swag?

2 gigs? What's the point? Crikey they practically give those away at any staples, target, etc. Super cheap.
I use a 128 gig flash drive, with about 100 albums in WAV format (uncompressed audio!)

A few years ago it was Ted CDs. At your year anniversary expect a water color painting (at least that is what it was on my last two new BMWs).
The best swag I ever got was a coffee table book for my 08 128 vert. First us year of the one and the book commemorated it. It has a replica vin plaque on the back page.

I remember spending $300 on a 2 GB flash drive few years back. Now 128GB is less than half that.
What if car tech progressed at that rate?

Every dealer is different. In addition to BMW sending swag my selling dealer...also in California... gave me swag at purchase and continues to send me stuff annually. Typically pens, hats, keychains and Christmas/birthday cards. Last year it was free passes to mission impossible.
There are 3 dealers within 25 miles of me and 4 more on my daily rt commute of 120 miles. It's just good marketing to keep the customer. Last edited by x3brian; 12-09-2012 at 04:35 AM.

My girl got this sharp looking 4 gig when she got her 500. BMW should at least give 8 gig becuz 2 gig is useless.

2gigs doesn't hold much these days, but at least the casing feels rather hefty, not some light weight plastic - might use it as a paperweight.

It may not hold much data, but it should handle your car settings. That way you can back them up when in for service. And copy them to your loaner.

I did ED on 10/17, and just got mine yesterday 12/10. It's nice. Small capacity, but as someone noted, seems like a nice quality.

Did ED on 9/27 and other than the usb they give you that day with the photos, I have gotten nothing. I feel gipped!
