They are raping you on this deal. 2k over on an in stock unit and the still marking acq fee as well. The 3250 is working to offset your drive offs as a cap reduction. The line adjusted cap cost reduction is final price. I would shoot for 1k over invoice and standard acq fee of 725 if I was working this deal.

Run, don't walk from this deal. It does not look like they are sharing the benefits of the current bonuses out there.

Which dealer are you buying from?
I can recommend someone at Pembroke Pines BMW. I'm sure he can do much better than that. $925 for acquisition fee is standard in South Florida...there is nothing you can do about it. |

You want the selling price to be the most, $1,000 over invoice. Then you deduct the incentives.
So $63,895 + $1,000 = $64,895 - $3,250 = New Selling Price of $61,645. Last edited by DJHomie; 12-07-2012 at 05:11 PM. |

So looking at my financial photo: The adjusted cap cost should be= $61,634 + $925 (SFL Acq fee) =62,559 |

Anything that they can't logically explain should usually be $0, or counted as dealer profit. I'd be cautious if you can't reproduce the calculations to the $0.01 yourself using a lease calculator.

Honest opinion, work with one of the forum sponsors (Justin, John, Greg or Adrian). Take your pick. Couple it with PCD and go from car buying to an experience.

Thus I would have my residual drop from 73% to only 64%... Basically at 9% lower residual =$6,400+ increase in my 24mo lease. (250+ a month) Last edited by Travel4Surf; 12-08-2012 at 06:35 AM. |

OP,
I'm not in FL anymore because of med school, but my family has bought a few cars from Pembroke Pines and I would recommend at least giving them a shot before you sign. Who is the dealer on this contract...I'm guessing South or Vista or Braman (miami) by the utter crap they are trying to pull. Don't even go to the dealerships, just fax the general manager a copy of your numbers on the car and tell him you'll be in if they give you the numbers. General steps: 1) Locate a car you want. Go to cars.com and search keyword "lauderdale" under the 535s. You can see every car they have then do a VIN check on options....there is a website to do this just can't remember the name of it (too much medical junk in my head right now). 2) Now use bmw config and get the invoice price. It will include the "training and service" fee and that is representative of the actual price. 3) Now add $900 onto the sum from #2. Subtract $2000 from that price. This is the cap cost. Your residual is 73% of the MSRP (not what you are paying) and your money factor is 0.00125. You won't get the acquisition fee down so $925 isn't too bad. Do you have a BMW currently? You can take another 750 off then...and the app credit should cover your first payment? Are you a BMW car club member? ***Very important. Do MSDs. That will lower your money factor to 0.00076. 4) Send these numbers to the sales managers at both Lauderdale locations (doesn't matter if the car is on the other lot, they'll swap with each other). Send it to Malcolm at Pembroke Pines if he is still there. *** Make it known to the dealers you are not a monthly payment customer; tell them you want the hard numbers and then you will talk monthly payments. 5) Check the lease payment on your own. Use lease guide or another online lease calculator and make sure the numbers are right. Good luck. And if this works and you get a good deal, I am accepting charitable funds to cover my next semester tuition.

Also,
If this should be a good counter offer to the one you presented above. MSRP: 69320 Selling price: 63895-2000 = 61,895 (double check the invoice on bmw config) MF: 0.00125-.00049 = 0.00076 Down payment: 925 (aq. fee) + 900 (profit) + first + security (including the multiple security deposits) ***I don't know your leasing style, some people like to roll everything in. Monthly with 6% tax: $589 You're looking at ~16k all in for 2 years. For comparison, your deal looks to be about 20k all in. Remember security deposits are refundable so I didn't add them into these figures. |

I checked into this as a gift for my dad, tough to get $900 over invoice. Even from a sponsor.

Let me see if I got this...(rounded)
$69,245 MSRP $64,000 Invoice $ 3,250 -Loyalty/App/holiday credit ----------- $60,750 $ 1,000 - USAA (Do I get to subtract this from invoice) ??? ----------- $59,750 =Dealer true invoice? $62,750 +Sales price ---------- $3,000 =Profit? ## Ok, let's forget the dealer profit... My net sales price from a dealer who doesn't have the special residual would have to be: $62,750 current sales price at 71% $ 6,000 discount from residual special ------------ $56,750. =Sales price need to = payments from the regular MF ?. 64% residual =$44,500 71% residual =$50,500 (Savings 6k) Last edited by Travel4Surf; 12-12-2012 at 01:51 PM. Sorry TSurf but your 71% number is off by over 1K.
$69,245 *.71 = 49,163.95 so lets round it to $49, 250 That is still $1250 difference. Big deal on a 24 month lease. Close enough on the 64%, but sorry not on the 71%.
