Right before the cat my exhaust turns in to a signal pipe. So would need both the mid-pipe and muffler for it to work.

Regardless, you should pick up a 328 exhaust and mid-pipe if you're planning to do exhaust work.

Ahhh didn't notice you had a 323. Yeah, it's supposed to be a decent power increase if you bolt up a normal 6cyl midpipe. Definitely go OBDII if you can. They're even better because they don't "Y" before the cats.

They're pretty clunky to drive around town from what I've heard, too. Like, way worse than a normal automatic, since they were engineered back in the day when nobody knew how to make a good automated manual. And maintenance is a biotch on them. SMG fluid is dealer-only, and is more expensive than dragon piss (so, very expensive), and if any of the clutch plates need to be replaced, it's total insanity.

I'm more concerned about where you found dragon piss for sale to even make that comparison.

If I were to get an e46 m3 it would have to be Imola Red.

The thing that amazes me about the SMG is all the people that went to the dealership in 2002, test drove an SMG and thought "yep, this feels great, I'll drop 60k on it." They rock and buck trying to pull out into traffic like a 15 year old is on the clutch pedal, and they shift gear like a mule kick, even in cars wlth low mileage.
