In need of some help!

I have a 91 BMW 525i with a M50 stock engine! What's the biggest performance chip I can get that wont harm my car? And also a good brand of performance chip!

I think the chips are all the same size, otherwise they wouldn't fit

I have an EAT chip in my car, the other top one would be Conforti availible as the Turner Motor Sports chip.

If you car runs on premium from the factory, as I suspect it does, there isn't much to be gained. My car runs regular and has lower compression. The chip can advance the timing for more power, you can feel it from down low. On your engine, the factory has tuned it already for the higher octane fuel. There is not as much to be gained, so do some searches before spending.

Most reports are good though for chips on these cars.

I have TMS (Turner MotorSports) in my M50 but its a vanos. I believe 92 was the VANOS revolution so you may not have it.

I have a 413 Red Label ECU. Turner made a huge difference, even over my old BavAuto chip.

I depends on your ecu and motor and what potential it has and who's written an chip to best achieve that potential. M30 guys love EAT, M50 guys love both.

I think that the Vanos started in 93.
