Not another clutch question!
Hey everyone. 105,000 miles of daily abuse has left my stock 328i clutch in a bad spot. It's slipping pretty consistently under heavy loads, so I've been granny driving around for the last week. I don't want to waste everyone's time with another "What clutch is best?" thread, because I've done some searching, but I need some input to go with the research I've been doing. Ideally, I'd like to upgrade to a more aggressive clutch, and I'd really like to get rid of the dual-mass flywheel and CDV. Some of the options I've looked at include another stock setup, an M3 setup with a LTW flywheel, an E34 M5 clutch with an LTW flywheel, and the options from F1/Gripforce. Can anyone provide some additional help as I make this decision?

I would recommend F1 Racing, as others on this forum would. You get a 15lb flywheel that's still DD-able, and a nice grippy clutch.
I have their OE setup linked below. It's supposed to be an OEM clutch and PP. It grips really hard though. I love it because you can really nail shifts, but it definitely isn't like any other OEM setup I've used. However, I've never used a brand new OEM setup to compare it to. You can get their stage 1, 2 or 3 setup with the 10lb flywheel and 6 puck clutch, but I'm not sure how necessary that is. I think the OE setup is a perfect balance of performance and driveability, and I'm usually someone to lean towards performance over comfort. http://www.ebay.com/itm/F1-CLUTCH-KI...f8db46&vxp=mtr

Then yeah. Much different from OEM. Didn't realize yours was new, Franklyn.

Thanks for the review. After deliberation, I'm between a Sachs clutch and PP setup with an F1 single mass flywheel, and a full F1 stage 2/3 setup with OEM bearings as cheap insurance. Can anyone else speak to the merits of either of these kits?
